For some of us, it’s the thrill of solving complex problems or the creativity involved in building something from scratch. For me, my strengths lie in product design, application development, and translating client needs into functional solutions. I thrive on the creative process and love building products and services from the ground up. When I dive into coding, I lose track of time, immersed in the flow of creation.

But as any founder knows, where there are strengths, there are also weaknesses. It’s crucial to acknowledge these gaps in our skills to grow both personally and professionally. For me, areas like sales, networking, and building new relationships have always been challenging. These are critical skills for any entrepreneur, yet I recognize that they require focused time and effort to develop. In fact, acknowledging these areas of growth has been a pivotal part of my journey as a founder.

As businesses grow, it’s easy to get caught up in things we’re good at, spending endless hours perfecting what we already know. But we must also push ourselves to step outside of our comfort zones. It’s only by addressing our weaknesses that we can continue to evolve. I’ve realized that I need to invest time in strengthening my sales and networking skills, just as much as I focus on product innovation and team leadership.

Today, I came across a post on LinkedIn by Steven Bartlett that really resonated with me. He shared the following quote:
No matter your age, you’ll always wish you started younger. But today is the youngest you’ll ever be.

This simple yet powerful reminder hit home. Yes, I could have started honing my sales and networking skills years ago, but the reality is, there’s no better time to start than today. Today is the youngest I’ll ever be, and if I want to grow, it’s up to me to make the most of this moment.
